Mr. Bonniwell has been associated with the newspaper since its founding in 1996. He assumed the position as publisher of the Glendale Cherry Creek Chronicle in 2002 and is the managing member of the owner of the newspaper - Cherry Creek Trail, LLC. He graduated from Vanderbilt University with an honors degree in history and received a doctorate in law from the University of Colorado where he was an editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and was awarded a Master in Taxation from the University of Denver. He has served as the senior advisor to the historic mining town of Central City and is the official historian for the City of Glendale. He received critical acclaim for his latest book The History of The Denver Country Club: 1887 – 2006 and is working on a book on the history of Glendale. He is a founding member of the Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce and a member of the board of directors of the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame as well as the Glendale YMCA.

Ed was a Denver City Councilman from 1993 to 2000. He is an active member of several organizations and charities including the Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Denver, the Glendale YMCA and the Heuga Center for Multiple Sclerosis. In 2006 he was appointed the Chairman of the Glendale High Commission on Rugby. He has been a resident of the Cherry Creek Valley his entire life and was a 23-year veteran of the Denver Police Department. These days, Ed is the proud grandfather of Arden and Jack.

Lynda hails from the great state of Louisiana, but considers herself a semi-native of Denver. She has been in print advertising sales for consumer and trade publications in Denver, San Francisco and Los Angeles for 24 years.

Shana Laurienzo

 

Shana is a Colorado native who has been working as a reporter for the Glendale Cherry Creek Chronicle for the last year. Shana operates BABs Productions, a band and venue promotion company. She also sits on several planning committees for events within the City Of Glendale and is the Program Coordinator for the Greater Glendale Chamber of Commerce. She is pursuing a degree in Journalism from the Metropolitan State College of Denver and is conversant in French. She enjoys dancing, attending concerts and doing historical research.

Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Laura grew up in the music business. Her family founded and operated a chain of record stores in Florida for fifty years and music has always been a huge part of her life. She moved to Colorado eight years ago to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she earned a degree in English. While at CU, she wrote for two newspapers, a publicity company and a band booking agency. After graduation, Laura moved to Denver and began working as a reporter for the Glendale Cherry Creek Chronicle. When she isn’t writing about the excitement going on in the Cherry Creek Valley, she can be found running, biking or snowboarding.

A native of Australia, Janet learned to ski at age four; the beginning of a lifelong involvement with a sport which ultimately brought her to Breckenridge, Colorado, after years as a ski instructor and ski patroller in Utah, Colorado and Australia. She attended the University of New South Wales in Sydney, where she earned her MA in creative writing in 2007, and a Diploma in Editing and Publishing. A journalist with a diverse portfolio, Janet has written for numerous journals, magazines and newspapers, has edited three books for Penguin, and brought Mile Hive Press's first novel to publication in 2008. In her spare time, Janet enjoys cycling, gardening and writing poetry – this is, after all, the city of the Beat.

Kari Moreno is a family law attorney and practices law in Littleton, Colorado. Kari grew up in Chicago, and moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder. After obtaining a BA in Biology from CU, she attended law school at the University Of Denver College Of Law. Kari graduated from law school in May 2004, and was admitted to the Colorado bar in October 2004. Kari also worked as a reporter for the law school newspaper, The Writ. In her free time, Kari enjoys playing tennis, skiing, and mountain biking.
